Eddie Munson Lives on!

**SPOILERS**

There’s no question Stranger Things season 4 was the best and darkest yet — and since I wanted to support Hellfire Club this Halloween, I knew I had to recreate Eddie Munson’s famous rooftop solo in the upside down world. I quickly pulled up the tabs for “Master of Puppets” and practiced a few times before hopping on the greenscreen.

A simple 3D space gives you a lot of flexibility for different types of video projects. I made the underworld using photos from Google and composited them in a simple 3D composition in After Effects. I used Element 3D for the building model, Trapcode Particular for the volumetric floating ash, and “Composite brush” plugin for keying.

Cousin Craig was a huge influence growing up and part of the reason why I started playing guitar.
