Change of Pace

My girlfriend and I just got back from Turks and Caicos after a week long getaway. Despite the fact that we were on vacation, I brought a bunch of cameras with me to capture the beautiful island views. August is a great time to go since it’s technically the start of the off season. The whole island of Providenciales was really quiet and we had most of the beaches all to ourselves which made for some great video. The water is unbelievably clear unlike and unlike anything I’ve ever seen before. I shot footage on the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera with a variable ND filter, DJI Mavic PRO, Canon 6D for timelapse, and the GoPro Hero 7.
At night, we had beautiful views of the stars and I managed to capture several meteors while capturing time-lapse of the stars. Between the amazing local food, snorkeling, and unlimited rum punch, it was difficult to come back home. Hopefully we make this a yearly trip as the desolation of the island at this time really makes for a very surreal experience.
