Boston
This past weekend, I had the chance to check out some of Boston’s historic spots. Standing at the site of the Boston Massacre, where America’s fight for independence really began, is pretty surreal. Shot Blackmagic 6K, DJI RS2 pro gimbal with a Rokinon 50mm.
It was weirdly deserted in the city so we
toured the famous Quincy Market, popular for the many food vendors. I got a lobster roll and it had so much mayonnaise I could barely finish it. Honestly, I’ve had better on Long Island, kind of a let down. We also hit up the Samuel Adams brewery next door for a couple of seasonal beers. At night we caught a Peter Pan Broadway show at the Boston Opera House. I honestly enjoyed the beauty and architectural detail of the Opera House more than the show itself.
The weekend ended with a visit to the Boston Science Museum, where we saw the Boston Dynamics robots in action. While Atlas was a fixed display, Spot would demo at 10-minute intervals, climbing stairs and navigating rocky terrain to showcase autonomous capabilities. The museum has four floors, a dedicated planetarium, and an IMAX theater, where we watched a short documentary on the James Webb Telescope. I remember seeing the JW Telescope testing simulated launch environments at the Johnson Space Center in Houston back in 2017, seeing the full process in IMAX was awesome.
